He was predeceased by : his parents, Luther Monroe and Aline Cooper Harrell; and his brother Therman Harrell. He is survived by : his wife Dawn Leiphart Harrell; his son David Harrell (Lynley Herring) of Beulaville; his grandson Dylan Harrell (Kelly Blanford) of Wilmington; his stepgrandchildren, Maygan Russ, Makelle Herring and Morgan Herring; his brother Carlisle Harrell of Columbia; and his nieces and nephews, Beverly Swain (Bobby), Sarah S. Copeland (Will), Hunter Copeland, Ellie Copeland, Andrew Swain (Chelsea), Grady Swain, Tim Harrell, Nancy Feener, David Harrell, Robert Harrell and Mike Clifton.
