She was predeceased by : her parents, Curtis Carven and Rosa Bell Scott Smith; and her brothers, Eugene Burrel Smith and Curtis Cohen Smith. She is survived by : her sisters, Bernice Lillian Spencer of Chesapeake, VA and Sybil Knotts of Columbia. She is also survived by several nieces, and nephews.
