She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James Silas Davenport and Hilda Rhodes Davenport; her husband Robert Leonard "Bobby" Mitchell; her son Frederic Mitchell (Cynthia) of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Jamie Koch, Courtney Sauter (Adam) of Wilmington and Vann Mitchell (Brandi) of Wilmington; her great grandchildren, Molly Hargett, Emma Holland, Finn Sauter, Fletcher Mitchell and Claire Sauter; and her former husband James S. "Jimmy" Davenport, Jr..
To honor Myrtle's faith and lifelong devotion, the family kindly asks in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
