It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Rae Jones of Columbia, North Carolina, who passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Liverman and Thelma Liverman; and her stepfather Clyde Hardison. She is survived by: her children, Larry E. "Chip" Jones Jr. (Lynn) of Wilmington, Carl E. Jones (Elaine) of Columbia and Chris Jones Carson (Jacky) of Columbia; her grandchildren, Larry E. "Tripp" Jones, III (Brooke) of Wilmington, Hunter Jones (Kerri) of Wilmington, Andy Jones (Brooke) of Columbia, Brian Carson (Katie) of Columbia, Megan Jones McLaughlin (Scott) of Zebulon and Haley Carson Braddock (Ryan) of Winterville; and her great grandchildren, Larry E. "Cade" Jones IV, Jaxon Jones, Ella Jones, Lyla Jones, Dawson Jones, Crewe Jones, Lanie Jones, Allie Grace McLaughlin, Graham McLaughlin, Elody Jones, Annabelle Carson, Ava Carson and Lonni Braddock.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church (502 Main St, Columbia, NC 27962).
