She was predeceased by : her parents, Ken Ray and Beaulah Ray of Tabor City, NC.; and her brothers, Kenneth Ray, Elderidge Ray, Faxon Ray, Fred Ray and Franklin Ray.

She is survived by : her husband Larry Wayne Cartrette; her children, Lorie Cartrette Morrow (Jared), Karen Cartrette Fussell (Jamie) and Kevin Wayne Cartrette (Shirley); and her brothers, Wilbert Ray of Tabor City and Joe Ray of Tabor City.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Iron Hill Baptist Church (22247 Peacock Rd, Tabor City, NC 28463). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
