We are sad to announce that on July 24, 2023, at the age of 89, Carolyn Elizabeth Penley (Columbus, North Carolina), born in Asheville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, James Robert and Mary Elizabeth Duckett Self; and her grandson William McCall. She is survived by : her daughters, Margo Easter (Calvin) of Alpharetta, GA, Tarsha Neal (Jerry) of Horse Shoe, NC, Sonya Wieneke of Cleveland, TN and Tia Taylor of Charlotte, NC.; her grandchildren, O'Neal McCall (Pamela), Rob Neal (Daphne), Austin Wieneke, Casey Taylor and Caitlyn Taylor; and her great grandchildren, Molly Neal, Christina McCall, Zoe Desvaristes and Sianni Perez.
