It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Mary Mellberg of Columbus, North Carolina, born in Appleton, Wisconsin, who passed away on March 25, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Nudelbacher and Phyllis Jones Nudelbacher; her former life partner Jack C. Lea (John); her brothers, Richard Nudelbacher and Robert Nudelbacher; and her nephews, Gregory Nudelbacher and Bradley Nudelbacher.
She is survived by : her husband Jim Mellberg "Cuddles" of Columbus, NC; her brother Thomas Nudelbacher (Kathleen) of Appleton, WI; her nephew Bryan Nudelbacher (Carlee) of Appleton, WI; her stepchildren, Diane King (Tony) of San Jose, CA, Laura Nessmiller (Steven) of Fairfax, VA and Eric Mellberg (Gail); her stepgrandchildren, Linda Nessmiller, Luke Nessmiller, Katie Nessmiller and Bridget King; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jack Nudelbacher, Henry Nudelbacher, Jovee Nudelbacher, Grace Schilz and Ava Schilz; and her close friends, Wanda and Garry Spencer of Appleton, WI..
