He was predeceased by : his parents, Emma Lee Lawrence and John Thomas Hicks. He is survived by : his wife Hazel Louise Ross Hicks; his children, Kenneth Hicks, Debbie Hicks, Melinda'Mindy'Hicks Simpson and Timothy Crouse; and his grandchildren, Juan Hicks (Sarah), Kolby Hicks, Johnny Simpson, Aisha Hicks and Bridgette Hicks.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Home-Going Service.
