She was predeceased by : her parents, George William Young and Leone Barton Young; her husband James Matthew Summey, Sr.; her son James Matthew Summey, Jr.; her siblings, Marian Smith and Bill Young; and her grandson John Summey.

She is survived by : her daughter Susan Vann (Larry) of Green Creek, NC; her granddaughter Janeen Murray (Len) of Tamarac, FL; her daughters-in-law, Mary Summey of North Miami, FL and Sally Summey; her sister-in-law Margie Young of Greenville, SC; her nephew Greg Young of Easley, SC; and her niece Lisa Brill (Robby) of Pelzer, SC..
