Rick King Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rick King of Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on November 18, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph King and Leona Sizemore King; his stepson Ethan Calton; and his brothers, Daniel, Larry and Leroy.
He is survived by: his wife Gwynne King; his children, Matthew King (Terra) of Morganton, Heather King (Von) of Forest City and Christopher King (Louise) of Hendersonville, NC; his stepson Josh Calton (Desiree) of Ridgeville, SC; and his siblings, Diane Bentley of Hendersonville and Luther King (Betty) of Ruth.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Adaville Baptist Church (805 Oakland Rd, Spindale, NC 28160). A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
