He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Stephens of Como and Bertha Griffin of Franklin; and his grandson Troy Justin Stephens. He is survived by: his wife Sherrie Harrell Stephens; his children, Irvin Stephens, Jr. (Robin) of Sedley, VA, Amy Staton of Como, Holly Stephens (Chris Harmon) of Ahoskie and Jenny Boyd (Bobby) of Franklin, VA.; and his sisters, Sylvia Bryant of Aulander, Rose Kennington of Harrellsville and Shirley Blythe (Keith) of Courtland, VA.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
