She was predeceased by: her parents, Americus Vespucious Flythe, Jr. and Meredith Ricks Flythe; and her husband Wallace Douglas Whitley, Sr.. She is survived by: her sons, Wallace Douglas Whitley, Jr. (LeighAnn) and Chad Everett Whitley (Tori); her siblings, Diane Gray (Glen), Joyce Sumner (Charlie Bruce) and Ricky Flythe (Vicky); and her grandchildren, Mandy (Brian), Wallace D. Whitley III, C. J. Whitley, Emma Whitley and Jackson Whitley. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Como Fire Department.
