He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Price Thompson and Odell Auton Thompson; his sisters, Shirley Donahue, Evelyn Reece and Rachel Graves; his sister-in-law Myrtle Thompson; and his niece Robin Wallace.
He is survived by: his wife Marion Williams Thompson; his brothers, Coy Thompson (Jean), Lloyd Thompson and James Thompson (Paulette); and his caregiver Deanna Tomlin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
