He is survived by: his children, LaShonda Smith, Brittnee'Smith, Quantavia Walker, Dominique Smith-Brazile (Jay) of Charlotte, NC and Xavier Chisolm of Charlotte, NC.. He is also survived by ten grand children, six great grandchildren along with host of nieces and nephews.
