He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wesley Gandy and Nettie Brown Gandy Williams; his wife Elsie Smith Gandy; his siblings, Dewey Gandy, Ethel Foster and Bertha Falkenberry; and his half-brothers, Jess of Charles, J. W., Jim and Olin Gandy.
He is survived by: his sons, Mike Gandy (Susie), Richard "Rick" Gandy (Gail) and David Gandy (Aprel); and his grandchildren, Savana, Elyse, Bonnie and Snoa. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
