With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Spears (Concord, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 9, 2024 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Bruce Howell and Ruth Lawing Howell; her siblings, Bernice Shimpock, Phyllis Graham, Juanita Barringer, Mary Kay Harris, Bill Howell and JB Howell; and her grandson Chris Myers.
She is survived by: her children, Priscilla Locklear (Com), Marvin Carroll (Bonnie), Robert Carroll, Mike Carroll (Ann) and Lynn Carroll; her brother Jerry Howell; and her close friend Debbie Morton. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
