It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Long Sr. of Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on September 11, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Billy Long Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parent Bert Long; his wife Beverly Fisher; and his siblings, Aeris Bingham, Sam Long, Bob Long and Irene Padgett.
He is survived by: his father-in-law Guy J. Fisher; his children, Debra Hampton (Walter Emory) of Charlotte and Billy Bruce Long, Jr. (Denise) of Concord; and his sister Beth Ellen Martin of Winder. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
Donations can be made to the American Legion Post 51 (Concord) and/or enjoy his favorite drink well-known among family and friends as a "Bill Drink"—Jack and Ginger over ice with a twist of lime. And even better, with that, have a Filet Mignon and as he called it, a "fluffy baked potato"-Lake Lynn style.
