He is survived by: his wife Novalene Trull Fero; his daughter Vivian G. Brown (James K. Brown Jr.) of Concord; his granddaughter Leah B. Prasse (Michael Prasse) of Stallings; his great grandchildren, Andrew Prasse and Jacob Prasse; his grandson Justin K. Brown of Concord; his great grandchildren, Hunter K. Brown and Madison M. Brown; his daughters, Susan G. Morrison of Oak Island and Cathy Winstead of Harrisburg; his grandsons, Paul Barfield (Jenny Williams) of California and Miles Barfield (Pam Barfield) of Salisbury; his great grandchildren, Jewel Brown and Shaniah Brown; his siblings, Harry J. Fero (Charlene) of Salisbury and Alice Ott of Buffalo; and his sisters-in-law, Connie Fero of Cleveland, Patt Fero of Greenville and Peggy Carter of Concord. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
