He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Mobley, Sr. and Etta Mae Gilreath Mobley; his brothers-in-law, Bill Peugh, Charles Poss and Joe Jackson; and his nephew Greg Poss.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Wills Mobley; his children, Charles Douglas Mobley (Diane), Janet Mobley Ramsey (Bill), Christopher James Wilson (Harriet) and Thomas Glenn Austin (Autumn); and his sisters, Jannette Peugh, Sara Poss and Gloria Jackson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hartsell Funeral Home - Harrisburg (12115 University City Blvd, Harrisburg, NC 28075). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pitts Baptist Church (140 Pitts School Rd NW, Concord, NC 28027).
