She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlo Smith Sr. and Mary Smith; and her stepmother Evelyn Smith. She is survived by: her daughter Najla McNeely; her son-in-law Robert McNeely; her grandsons, Jacob McNeely, Kaleb McNeely and Lucas McNeely of Concord, NC; her daughter Rosa Jaafar of Concord, NC; her brother Arlo Smith Jr.; her sister-in-law Mary Smith of Charlotte, NC; her siblings, Tammy Drew of Gastonia, NC, Amy Giles of Gastonia, NC and Timothy Smith; her sister-in-law Thelma Joy Smith of Concord, NC.; and her nieces and nephews, Ernest Giles III, Kara Smith, Sydney Giles, Solomon Giles (Lauryn Giles) and Benjamin Smith.
