He was predeceased by: his brother Donald Carter; and also Doy Carter. He is survived by: his brothers, Gene Carter (Nancy) of Concord and Wayne Carter of Indian Trail; his niece Jeannie Carter-Siddle (Brian) of Concord; his nephew Thad Carter (Trista) of Charlotte; and also, Sophie of Concord, Erik of Charlotte and Steve McDonald (Tony Hinson) of Concord.
