She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Garnett Young and Ethel Lightner Young; and her husband Preston Columbus Hill. She is survived by: her sons, Preston Hill (Latonya W.) of Charlotte, NC and Rev. Herbert Hill, Sr. (Rose) of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Preston Hill, Jr., Herbert Hill, Jr., Christina Williams, Brittany, Parker and Brandon; and her great grandchildren, Khloe and Victoria. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bethpage United Presbyterian Church (8701 Mooresville Rd, Concord, NC 28027). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery (4426 Central Ave, Charlotte, NC 28205). Delorese was active in many civic organizations, President of Presbyterian Women, Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and Wake County School where she Volunteered until Covid.
