It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dominic Desmond Barringer (Concord, North Carolina), born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on September 8, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Lee and Anna Bell Barringer; and his siblings, Carl Barringer, Walter Lee Barringer Jr. Sylvia and Wanda Barringer.
He is survived by: his children, Desmond Barringer (Shy), Latoya Potts Gunnoe, Tanisha Walker and Aleashia Carmouche (Jacoby); his grandchildren, Jazmine, Jamari, Robert, Zoe and Raedyn; his aunts, Martha Barringer, Lorine Haynes and Mary Barringer; and his friend Nita Baxter. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The lying in state was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Pleasant Grove AME Zion Church (9900 Christenbury Pkwy, Concord, NC 28027). Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
