He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lamar and Helen Mabel Paulus (Eby); his grandchild Kelly Dewhurst; his siblings, Marilyn Elaine Paulus, Dawn Marie Paulus, Robert Duane Paulus and Carl "Fred" Paulus; and his brother-in-law Jack L. Jesse.
He is survived by: his wife Tanya Rose Paulus (Baker) of Concord; his children, David Jacob Lee Paulus of Springfield, Trena Paulus (David Atkins) of Johnson City and Heidi Miller (Robert) of Glendale; his grandchildren, Phoenix, Oscar, Daisy, Faith Obbs, Tasha Campanaro (Joey Soles), Tanner, Anthony (Jeniffer), Kendra and Cassandra Miller; his daughter Robin VanGundy of Charlotte; and his siblings, Carolyn Jesse of Elkhart, Indiana, Dennis Paulus (Mary) of Elkhart, Indiana and Byron Paulus (Sue) of Niles, Michigan.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
