He was predeceased by: his parents, Terry Rice Burton, Sr. and Sadie "Ruth" Phelps Burton; and his brothers, T. R. Burton, Jr. and James Vance Burton. He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Burton; his sons, Shannon Burton (Anna) of Charlotte, Shawn Burton of Mooresville and Stephen Burton (Kelly) of Dallas, Georgia; his grandchildren, Ariel Corriher (Tyler), Spencer Burton, Lincoln Burton, Fletcher Burton, Kate Burton, Sam Burton and Ben Burton; his great grandchild Presley Corriher; and his brothers, Wayne Burton of Travelers Rest and Carlton Burton of Davie County. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Living Water Community Church.
