He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Winecoff Howard and Sylvester Howard; his wife Marie Goodman Howard; his daughters, Lisa Howard of Concord and Lori Myers (Kirk) of Concord; his sister Dianne Moose of Concord; his grandchildren, Courtney Miles (Todd), Dylan Drye (Kameryn), Sarah Myers (Jonathan Davis) and Isaac Myers; and his great grandchildren, Liam, Weston, Ryland Miles and Ellie Drye.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilkinson Funeral Home (100 Branchview Dr NE, Concord, NC 28025). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Forest Hill United Methodist Church (265 Union St N, Concord, NC 28025). A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Carolina Memorial Park (601 Mt Olivet Rd, Concord, NC 28025).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to VIA Health Partners, 7845 Little Ave., Charlotte, NC 28226 or Samaritan's Purse (samaritanspurse.org) in honor of Donald's giving spirit and faith-filled life.
