He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kay Munson of Concord, NC; his sons, Kevin Munson (Amy) and Donald Munson Jr.; his grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, Leah, Andrew and Samuel; and his siblings, Bobby Munson and Bonnie Kennedy (Roger).

Donations may be made to Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
