He was predeceased by: his mother Ruby Mae Sykes West. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Green West; his children, Lindsay West Hough of Concord, Kelley West Johnson (David) of Evergreen, CO and Edward "Taylor" West of Austin, TX; his grandchildren, Jennings Hough and Ruby Vera Johnson; and his siblings, Debbie Miriampetrie (Tony) of Chapel Hill and Gary West of Mt. Airy. He is also survived by two nephews; and a number of extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Epworth United Methodist Church (1030 Burrage Rd NE, Concord, NC 28025). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, Hospice, or the Humane Society-causes that reflect Eddie's faith, compassion, and love for others.
