He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Wilson and Mamie Ella Cochran Wilson. He is survived by: his daughters, Reba Martin (Ronnie), Brenda Tate (Craig) and Lorie Rutledge (Nathan); his grandchildren, Jennifer Manson (John), Nichole Tucker (Andy), Jeremy Ferris (Michelle), Ashley Moon (Jay), Heather Roof (Adam), Jordan James (Austin), Allie Williams (Seth), Aaron Rutledge (Chelsea) and Ryan Rutledge (Erica); and his great grandchild Chandler Craig Moon. He is also survived by twenty-eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Raymer-Kepner Chapel (16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078). A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
