He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Jeremiah Alexander Stirewalt and Mary Louise Murph Stirewalt of Kannapolis, NC.; his wife Frances "Marilene" Stirewalt; and his siblings, Mable Stirewalt Williams and Charles Stirewalt.

He is survived by: his children, Frederick "Keith" Stirewalt (Margaret Norris) of Winston-Salem, NC and Lisa Stirewalt Youkers (Dave) of Powell, OH; his grandchildren, Adele Whipps (Eric Hall), Kathryn Brown (Jon), Sarah Whipps, Thomas Stirewalt (Mackenzie) and Christopher Stirewalt; and his great grandchildren, Bryce Brown and Audrey Kate Brown. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
