He is survived by: his wife Sharon Blackwelder Ritchie; his children, Emily Hartsell (John), Benjamin Scott Small (Jennifer) and Mark Allen Small; his grandchildren, Ryleigh, Raegan Hartsell and Augustus "Gus" Small; his siblings, Darrell Ritchie and Nancy Blair (Sonny); his nieces and nephews, Alyson Almond, Ashley Barnhardt, Sean and AJ Blair; and his sister-in-law Dianne Blackwelder Hudson.
