He was predeceased by: his parents, Herlie Lee Johnson and Mary Lee Polk; and his stepfather Clarence B. Polk. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Johnson of Concord, NC; his daughters, Melissa J. Lingerfelt and Jennifer J. Deaton (Jon); and his grandchildren, Amanda Lingerfelt, Eric Lingerfelt and Taylor Deaton.
