He is survived by: his wife Patricia Long; his children, Afton Witherspoon of Concord and Latrisha Long of Woodleaf; his siblings, Lynda Smith (Winslow) of Concord, Ronnie Long (Ashley) of Concord, John Anthony Long (Pennie) of Concord, Allen Ray Long (Shelia) of Anniston, AL and Samuel Alex Long (Janet) of Killeen, TX; his grandchildren, Shanni Warren, Michael Faulk, Shakaiyah Faulk, MyKaisia Faulk, Alasia Scott, Amari Witherspoon and Amir Witherspoon; and his great grandchild Emari Guatemala. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
