It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Brayboy Sr. of Concord, North Carolina, born in Dillon, South Carolina, who passed away on February 10, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Marybell Brayboy; his wives, Brenda Parks and Betty Jo Brayboy; and his grandsons, Jonathan and Kahale.

He is survived by: his children, Mary Juanita Brayboy of Concord, Anita Brayboy Helms of Concord and James Brayboy, Jr. of Matthews; his grandchildren, Daniel, Amanda, Bethany, Michael, Krystalyn and Samantha; and his great grandchild Makayla.
