She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Earl Harklerode and Pearl Edith Johnson Harklerode; her former husband Lloyd Hicks Hardin; and her son Shawn Guffey. She is survived by: her husband Garry Edwards Guffey of Mount Pleasant, NC; and her children, Lloyd Allen Hardin (Casandra) of Rutherfordton, NC, Jennie Cruse (Sissy), Van Harklerode (Manuela) of Louisiana, Elaine Sprouse (Scott) of Rutherfordton, NC, David Hardin of Myrtle Beach, SC and Tony Hardin (Angel) of Germany. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great- grandchildren. nieces, nephews, and bonus children.
