She was predeceased by: her father W. S. Starnes; her husband Homer "H. L." Troutman; her sisters, Margie Lazenby (Steve) and Joyce Eagle (Frank); and her son-in-law David B. Austin Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Trisha T. Austin of Concord and Barry Troutman (Harriett) of Concord; her grandchildren, Brian Troutman (Liz), Katie Troutman, David B. Austin, Jr. and Britt Austin (Anna); her great grandchildren, Graham, Caroline, Reid Troutman, Deva, Everett and Callen Austin; and her sister Billie Ann Aponte of Newport, NC. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
