He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Walker Meacham and Emma Poole Meacham; his son Jerry Todd Meacham; and his siblings, Walker Poole Meacham, Bonna Lynn Meacham Hathcock, Marceil Meacham Freeman, Bruce Burton Meacham and Eris Meacham Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Janie Tedder Meacham; his sons, Michael Scott Meacham of Locust, NC and Ryan Elliot Meacham (Cynthia) of Monroe, NC; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Meacham of Wilmington, NC, Alexander Meacham of Monroe, NC, Jonathan Meacham of Monroe, NC and Nathan Meacham of Monroe, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
