She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Charles Marcotte and Dorothy Elaine Marcotte (Hoenge); and her former husband Clyde Elliott Young (James "Hoppy" Green). She is survived by: her children, Caren Young of Kannapolis, NC, Christopher E. (Tricia Young) and Connie (Jamie Hill) of Kannapolis, NC; her grandsons, Christian E. Young of Concord, NC and Andrew J. Hill of Kannapolis, NC; her siblings, Joe (Debbie Marcotte) of Marlow, NH and Mary Hull; and her niece Rebecca Hull of Sullivan, NH. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Whitley's Funeral Home (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tucker Hospice House in honor of JoAnne's memory.
