He is survived by: his children, Caroline Brown (Kalvin) and John Wayne Stinson (Pearl) of Kannapolis; his nephew Derrick Carr of Concord; his siblings-in-law, Levon Caldwell (Grace) and Marion Stinson; his great grandchild Angel McMullen; his cousins, Dennis Young, Martha Brooks and Joyce Alexander; and his close friend Crawford Love. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
