He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert and Mary Ida Wheatley (Mattingly); his wife Nancy Stinnett; and his siblings, Donald Wheatley, Margaret Mary Newton, Jane Smith and Rita Ann Lamkin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Alyssa Jo and Erin Leigh; his siblings, Butch Henry Wheatley (Betty Jo), Barbara McClain, Sara Tabor-Walker and Steve Wheatley (Sheila); his siblings-in-law, Cindy Ford, Butch Smith and Maurice Lamkin; and his friend Carol Rasmussen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
