We bid farewell to Kaylene Diana Thompson of Concord, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 4, 2024 at the age of 81. Kaylene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Kaylene shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Kaylene farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Hoyle Whitaker and Elizabeth Canupp Whitaker. She is survived by : her husband Kenneth "Ken" Thompson; her daughters, Beth Neal, Kim Suther and Jennifer Luke (Marcus); and her sister Becky Merritt.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wilkinson Funeral Home (100 Branchview Dr NE, Concord, NC 28025). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Harmony Church (101 White St NW, Concord, NC 28027).
