We announce the death of Loretta Yandle Johnson (Concord, North Carolina), who passed away on September 17, 2026, at the age of 93. Loretta will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her son Daniel B. Johnson; and her parents, Carolyn Yandle and Herman Yandle. She is survived by: her children, Shelia Johnson Kirkpatrick (John), W. Glenn Johnson (Cindy) and Alyce Johnson Alexander (Dennis); her daughter-in-law Jan W. Johnson; her siblings, Faye Yandle Furr, Roy Yandle and Dennis Yandle (Carol); her grandchildren, Mindy J. Franklin (Brian), Tracey K. Hayes (Matt), Nita J Kirkpatrick (Mathew), Jennifer K. Howard (Adam), Joshua Alexander and Justin Alexander (JoAnna); and her great grandchildren, Ansley Hayes, Abigail Hayes, Addison Howard, Lillian Howard, Ashton Franklin, Elizabeth Franklin, Grayson Franklin, Blake Kirkpatrick (Brandi), Chloe K. McGee Caleb Kirkpatrick (Zack), Isabella Kirkpatrick, Benjamin Kirkpatrick, William Alexander and Mackenzie Alexander.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Westford Methodist Church (273 State Hwy 49, Concord, NC 28025). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Connie Maxwell Children's Ministries/Orphanage, in memory of Loretta's Mom, Carolyn Young Yandle. 810 Maxwell Avenue, Greenwood, S.C. 29646.
