She was predeceased by: her parents, Moses Glass and Eugene Hawk Glass; her husband Charles "Ronnie" Vernon Starker; her brother-in-law Edgar "Tuffy" Smith; and her brothers, Robespierre Chambers and Christopher A. Chambers.
She is survived by: her children, Vernon Jamaul Starker and Tehia Starker Glass; her son-in-law Taurus Glass; her grandchildren, Christopher, Siri, Desmond and Miles; her siblings-in-law, Manley Smith (Brandi), Frederick Smith (Brenda) and Karen Smith; her sisters, Diane Chambers and Joanne Chambers; and her close friend Gwen Allen. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Park Church (6029 Beatties Ford Rd, Charlotte, NC 28216). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the United Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
