He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Joseph Gehl and Luella Louise Wilcoxson Gehl; and his siblings, Gerry Gehl and Carol Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Pauline Gehl of The Gardens; his children, Debbie Peyrot (Claude) of Pentwater, MI, Kevin Gehl (Sandy) of Concord and Keith Gehl (Gerry) of Concord; his sister Marilynn Rossi of Vermilion, OH; and his grandchildren, Michelle Ward (Pat) of Chesterton, IN, Adam Gehl (Courtney) of Antioch, IL, Adrian Peyrot (Jennifer) of Grayslake, IL, Nicholas Gehl (Greg) of Evanston, IL, Brian Peyrot of Chicago, IL and Jeremy Gehl of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
