It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Sloan of Concord, North Carolina, born in Perry, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 22, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sloan and Marie Mellies Sloan; his wife Betty Bumgarner Sloan; his daughter Brenda Kay Sloan; and his siblings, William Sloan, Vada Johndrow and Vivian Gibson.

He is survived by: his children, Rick Davis (Dianne), Revonda Curtis (Lee), Kathy Graves (Don), Ray Sloan (Renee) and Ranea Brantley (Chad); and his siblings, Joyce Sutherland and Leo Sloan (Mary). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.

“Our heartfelt condolences on your loss. No matter your age, it's never easy to lose a parent. I have many wonderful memories of Uncle Raymond when he come to Oklahoma to visit in the 60's. He always talked to us kids like we mattered! I remember one year he gave me a book of paper samples from the company he worked for and I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread! My mom has been gone almost 4 years now, so I'm sure they are catching up in Heaven. We'll keep you in our prayers.”
