He is survived by: his children, Asa Metcalfe and Elizabeth Metcalfe; his grandchildren, Brittany Ferguson (Blake), Kassidy Lonetree-Burgess (Marshall), Amelia Metcalfe and Miller Metcalfe; and his great grandchildren, Cora and Hannah Ferguson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565.
