Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Robert touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nettie Watts Griffin and Murray "Aubrey" Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Williams Griffin; his daughter Lisa Hutchison; his grandchildren, Caroline Whitaker Jarvis (Lane) and Nicholas Whitaker (Micaela); and his great grandchildren, Nora Jarvis, Emily Jarvis and Ellie Mae Whitaker.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Carolina Memorial Park (601 Mt Olivet Rd, Concord, NC 28025). Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 200 Branchview Dr SE, Concord, NC 28025.
