He was predeceased by: his parents, Rebecca Ann Whittington Morris and Harold H. Helms; and his husband Trafton "Lindsay" Hardison. He is survived by: his brothers, Harold H. Helms, Jr. (Donna) and Christopher L. Helms (Jean); his stepfather Jimmy Morris; his aunt Earlene Craver; his uncle Larry Whittington; his stepsiblings, Jeffrey Morris of Jimmy and Angela Broadway; his nieces and nephews, Machelle Helms Hiller, Phillip Helms, CJ Helms and Bradlee Helms; and his pet Zannie.
