He is survived by: his wife Jane Cochran Violette; his daughter Ronda Caroline Violette of Lewisville; his son-in-law Keith Walter; his grandchildren, William, Wellesley Walter, Margaret Walter of Brooklyn and Brad Walter of Boone; his son John Judson "Jud" Violette of Matthews; his daughter-in-law Amy Schultz Violette; his grandchildren, AnnaLeigh Violette and Asher Schultz; and his brother Gary Lynn Violette of San Diego, California..
