She was predeceased by: her mother Betty Williams Carmand; her stepfather Willie Foster; and her son Michael Gales. She is survived by: her son Jerrome Gales; her siblings, Dorothy Williams (Paul) and Willie James Foster (Valerie); and her friends, Thelma Rawlings and Zakie Ann McDuffie. She is also survived by four grandchildren.
